Q: Square speakers?

Sonance has always been a fashion-forward speaker manufacturer. In addition to a whole new line of decorator-style, trimless in-wall speakers, it's added square-shaped in-ceiling speakers to its existing line of round in-ceiling speakers. The square units represent a trend toward European designs, says Sonance product director Scott Sylvester. "We're following in the footsteps of the lighting industry, where square recessed ceiling fixtures are gaining popularity. It's a solid trend in Europe, and it's building momentum in the United States."
